For far too long the modern Church has dismissed the Book of Acts as simply “history” with no relevance for today and we have paid a huge price for the arrogance and ignorance. When we compare the Church of today with the Early Church as found in the Book of Acts we find a huge discrepancy – we do not experience the Presence , the Power, the Passion in our churches today that we see in the Early Church and yet we pride ourselves in being bigger and better.
The BOOK OF ACTS was not just meant to be record of the history of the Early Church but also the template for all churches for all times. Today our churches are Presence-less , Powerless Passionless and as a Church we have nothing to say to our Communities, Our Cities & Our Countries.
How did we descend to such a level and what must we do to once again ascend to the level of the Early Church?
